SUMMARY:

        Objective To analyze the stress level and the relationship with the prevalence of obesity, sleep quality, obstructive sleep apnea in day and night shift nurses. It will be a cross-sectional study. with quantitative approach, of analytical type. The target audience will be nurses from Onofre Lopes University Hospital, 122, Ana Bezerra University Hospital 53 and Januario Cicco 30 Maternity Hospital. The sample consists of 205 professionals working day and night shifts. Data collection will take place from January to July 2020, nurses will fill in the instruments: to obtain sociodemographic data, stress level assessment, sleep quality which is the Pittsburgh-Brazil Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). - BR), the Berlin questionnaire to verify obstructive sleep apenia and the eating behavior questionnaire to verify obesity. Nurses who have another professional relationship will be excluded. The data will be organized in spreadsheets with the data and the database will be analyzed in IBM SPSS Statistic. Descriptive analysis will be performed to evaluate the sample profile, according to the individual, sociodemographic characteristics and eating habits of the research subjects, as well as the frequency of categorical variables, with absolute frequency (n) and percentage (%) values and position descriptive statistics. (mean and median) and data dispersion (standard deviation) for numeric and orderable variables. For the values obtained through the BMI, the classification will be presented as recommended by the World Health Organization. The research project will be submitted to Brazil platform and evaluated by the Research Ethics Committee of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, respecting the standardization of Resolution No. 466/12 of the National Health Council, concerning the ethical aspects of research involving human beings. Subjects involved in both stages will be asked to sign the Informed Consent Form.
