Thus, this research aims to analyze the clinical and epidemiological profile of tuberculosis cases of Primary Health Care in a municipality of Grande Natal / RN. This is a retrospective, cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach. Will be used as theoretical reference the Manual of Recommendations for the Control of Tuberculosis in Brazil. The study will be conducted in the municipality of Parnamirim, part of the metropolitan region of Natal. Data collection will be based on the use of a secondary source through the Reporting Disease Information System database for cases notified through the tuberculosis notification / investigation form from 2008 to 2019. In which, will be provided by the Municipal Health Department of Parnamirim. Data will be submitted to absolute and relative frequency calculations through the Statistical Package for Social Sciences version 22.0. Considering the variables contained in the tuberculosis notification form and later organized into tables. The incidence rate will also be calculated by dividing the number of new cases of tuberculosis by the estimated population and multiplying by 100,000. Pearson's chi-square (χ2) test will be used to verify associations, considering the value of 5% (p <0.05) for significance in a confidence interval of 95% (95% CI). It will be used for the crossing of all the studied variables, to verify the statistical association. The research will follow the ethical precepts in research with human beings described in Resolution 466/2012 of the National Health Council. The aim of the study is to provide the community, managers and health professionals with information that contributes to the control and coping actions of the disease in the face of diagnosis and therapeutic project.
