RESUMO:

This study aims to track the risk of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder in health professionals of Emergency Room Clovis Sarinho, Unidades de Pronto Atendimento allocated in Natal/RN, Emergency Mobile Emergency Service, military firefighters and the military police of the city of Natal/RN. It uses a descriptive and exploratory cross-sectional method with quantitative approach that will use two data collection instruments: the Event Impact Scale - Revised and an instrument with sociodemographic information and information related to the traumatic event. The research will be performed in the dependencies of the services that each professional is inserted. From this research, it is intended to improve knowledge in the area through the dissemination of an easy-to-use tool for tracking post-traumatic stress disorder cases in order to bring visibility, as well as the possibility of providing scientific data for guide health care focused on this pathology in this population.
