RESUMO:

Parallel to the emerging recognition of the role of women in the historicalpolitical-social context, an increasing number of women's imprisonments have modified the panorama of this phenomenon. The invisibility of women vis-a-vis the man demonstrates the submission of the female gender in the domestic environment and the involvement of women in the transgressions by male influences, factors that influence the process of entrapment and deprivation of liberty. The gestational period during imprisonment, as well as lactation, are delicate, vulnerable and complex processes, affecting motherhood as an unparalleled experience. However, the rupture of the mother-child dyad has a marked date and time in the Brazilian prison scene. Objective: to analyze the possible social representations of motherhood elaborated by pregnant and lactating women in deprivation of liberty. Method: This is a qualitative study, anchored in the assumptions of the Theory of Social Representations in the structural aspect, to be carried out with pregnant and lactating women in the João Chaves penitentiary complex in the city of Natal and in the Provisional Detention Center - Feminine in Parnamirim, both in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. Inclusion criteria will be: women in the gestational period or who are breastfeeding, regardless of the prison regime. Those of exclusion will be: Women who for superior reasons (personal / criminal) can not be in common space for visits; women with signs of presumed pregnancy. For data collection, the substitution and decontextualization technique - Zona Muda and free association of words will be used in order to reveal what we do not find in the day-to-day discourses of vulnerable populations. The data will be analyzed through prototypical processing, in which frequencies and average orders of evocations of the words will be calculated in the interviews, besides contemplating the compositions and their co-occurrences. These elements will be the basis for the elaboration of the four-house framework (Central Nucleus Theory), identifying the central nucleus and the periphery of representation from the normative and functional elements. The analytical processing will be carried out in the Interface software of Multi-Dimensional Analysis of Textes et de Questionnaires (IRAMUTEQ), version 7 alpha 2. The project will be submitted to the Ethics and Research Committee of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte in accordance with the ethical precepts established by Resolution No. 466 of December 12, 2012 of the National Health Council. Expected results: Based on the study of social representations, a better understanding of the experience and the symbolic world of these women who consolidate as mothers in the world of private jail is expected, in order to make the subject tangible and, consequently, the look health policies in this context.
