CONSTRUCTION AND VALIDATION OF ADAPTIVE INSTRUMENT OF THE PERSON WITH VENOUS ULCER BASED ON THE ROY MODEL
Varicose ulcer; Adaptation; Quality of life; Nursing
Venous ulcer, a chronic lesion of the lower limbs, causes long and complex treatments and produces a series of changes in the life of the patient and their relatives. Given this, care with the venous ulcer demands attention to several adaptive needs that develop physiological, psychological and social aspects. This requires the nursing action focused on promoting the person's adaptation to venous ulcer care. To systematize the care of the person with venous ulcer, for the purpose of effective adaptation and consequent healing of the ulcer and prevention of relapse, nursing can use the Roy Adaptation Model. The aim of this study was to carry out the theoretical validation of a scale to measure the level of adaptation of people with venous ulcer based on Roy's Adaptation Model. This is a methodological study that will be developed in two stages: the first is the construction of the items of the instrument from the definitions of the constructs, and the second application of the instrument to the judges for validation. The constitutive and operational definitions were defined based on an integrative review of the literature and a qualitative study. The validation process of the instrument will be through the Kappa index and the Content Validity Index. The judges will be selected through the platform lattes and their participation will be formalized by signing the Term of Free and Informed Consent. The instrument of data collection will be sent via email. The validation of the instrument will be according to the Pasquali reference and will adopt the Delphi technique for its operation. After these processes, the results will be coded and tabulated and presented in the form of tables, tables and graphs, with their respective percentage distributions and statistical test results. The present study obtained a favorable opinion from the Research Ethics Committee of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, with an opinion number 2.007.110, CAAE number 65941817.1.0000.5537. The first step was completed and presented the following results: among the 75 adaptive problems present in the Roy Adaptation Model, 33 were found in the articles and 24 in the speeches of people with venous ulcer. In addition, 7 new adaptive problems were extracted from the literature and 4 from the interviews. Regarding the indicators of positive adaptation, it was identified in studies 13 and 4 in the interviews of the 57 presented in the Roy Adaptation Model. From these data the preliminary items of the instrument were constructed, with a total of 55 items divided into the four adaptive modes of Roy, 22 items in the physiological mode, 20 in the self-concept mode, 7 in the paper function mode and 6 in the interdependence mode.
