RESUMO:

Introduction: Disability is understood as a long-term physical, mental, intellectual or sensorial impairment which, in interaction with one or more barriers, may obstruct their full and effective participation in society on an equal basis with other persons . In this sense, the health needs of the person with physical, auditory and visual disability are questioned, since these needs are understood as individual constructions and also social and that can be preponderant for the quality of life of people with disabilities. General Objective: To analyze the health needs of people with physical, hearing and visual disabilities. Specific objectives: To analyze the concept of the Health Needs of people with disabilities; to apply the Health Needs Assessment Tool for people with physical, hearing and visual impairment (IANS-PCDFAV) in the target population; Validate the Health Needs Assessment Tool for physically, hearingly and visually impaired people (IANS - PCDFAV) regarding their dimensionality, item analysis and internal consistency; Identify the health needs of people with physical, hearing and visual disabilities; and Check the association between the living conditions of people with disabilities and their health needs. Method: This is an analytical study, with a cross-sectional design and a quantitative approach to treatment and data analysis, based on the methodology of Pascali's Psychometrics (1999; 2004). The study will be developed in three stages: 1. Study of the concept of Health Needs of people with disabilities; 2. Validation of the Health Needs Assessment Instrument for physically, hearingly and visually impaired people (IANS - PCDFAV) regarding their dimensionality, item analysis and internal consistency; 3. Analysis of the health needs of people with physical, hearing and visual disabilities. The study has the opinion of the Committee of Ethics in Research, UFRN, CAAE: 39639014.3.0000.5537, Opinion No. 925.094, dated December 18, 2014. The data will be collected through the instrument built and validated in one of the previous phases of the research. The research will be carried out in one (1) state public entity and two (2) State disability support centers in the city of Mossoró / RN, namely: Association of Physically Disabled People of Mossoró (ADEFIM), Association of the Visually Impaired Mossoró (ADVM) and the Association of the Deaf of Mossoró (ASMO). It will be sought to reach a minimum of 200 interviews, following the suggestion of the theoretical reference, and for the selection of the participants, the calculation for stratified proportional sampling among the three Associations was carried out. The results will be analyzed through the statistical data package SPSS® version 20.0 through descriptive and inferential statistics. After this process, the results will be coded and tabulated and presented in the form of tables, tables and graphs, with their respective percentage distributions and statistical test results. Expected results: It is expected to finalize the process of construction and validation of the Health Needs Assessment Instrument for physically, hearing and visual impaired people (IANS - PCDFAV), in order to serve as a guideline for the construction of health planning, improving the quality of health care in this population segment.
