RESUMO:

The National Tuberculosis Control Program was created in 1999 to reduce tuberculosis morbidity, mortality and transmission through health care, strategic information, research, human and institutional development, communication and social mobilization, as well as actions planning and budgeting. Because of the existence of numerous local administrative, political and geographical specificities, the program is operationalized in different formats and results at the municipal level, even with nationally proposed goals and guidelines. The objective of this research is evaluate the implementation level of the Program of Control of Tuberculosis in Primary Health Care in the city of Natal, RN. It is an evaluative research with emphasis on the level of implementation of the Tuberculosis Program. It will be used as methodological theoretical reference health evaluation (DONABEDIAN, 1980) with emphasis on the dimensions structure and process. The study population will consist of primary health care nurses from Natal/RN, distributed in the 54 health units of the municipality. The health units will be drawn randomly so that all nurses have the same chance to participate in the study. The number of nurses in Primary Health Care units varies according to geographic territory. In this study, at least two nurses from each health unit will be considered, totaling 96 nurses. It will be considered a sample error of 5%, a confidence interval of 95 totaling 48 health units selected. The instrument used in this stage will be a questionnaire prepared by the researchers and divided into three sections: professional characterization, structure and process dimension. For the analysis of the implementation of the program in the municipality of Natal will be considered the dimensions, subdimensions and variables to identify the level of implantation. The data will be submitted to descriptive and inferential statistics through the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences program. This project was sent to the research ethics committee of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. At all stages of the research, the ethical premises proposed by resolution 466/12 on research with human beings will be respected. It is estimated that, with the identification of the degree of implementation of the structural and implementation elements of the Tuberculosis Control Program in the city of Natal, it will contribute to reflections related to the work process of Primary Health Care teams. This study is expected contribute to contribute with the identification of indicators that need to be improved, helping in the decision making.
