RESUMO:

This is a methodological study, aim to evaluate efficacy of virtual clinical simulation in problem-based learning as an educational strategy for the diagnosis reasoning in adult health nursing. The study will develop in four stages: construction of scenarios for virtual clinical simulation on diagnostic reasoning; Content analysis of scenarios by specialists; Development of virtual learning object for clinical simulation; Application of virtual clinical simulation with undergraduate students in Nursing. In the first step, the simulation scenario creation will be based on relevant literature to of semiology and semi-technical in nursing and adult health. Next, the scenarios will be analyzing for content and appearance by 22 experts in diagnostic reasoning and/or clinical simulation, selected through the lattes platform. The stage of development of the virtual learning object will allocate the scenarios developed and validated previously in the virtual clinical simulation. The fowling steps will be developed: Definition of simulated scenarios; Planning; Creation of prototypes; Validation of prototypes; Refinement after validation; And, final engineering. After the final engineering, the virtual object will be subjected to a test of its usefulness together with a team of testers composed of nursing students and nurses at different levels of training. In the final stage of the study, a virtual clinical simulation strategy will be tested for efficacy through an experimental study with undergraduate nursing students from a university in the Northeast of Brazil. Students are randomized into intervention and control groups and will perform pre- and post-tests. The group should be submitted to a virtual clinical simulation on the diagnosis reasoning in nursing in adult health, based on problem-based learning. In addition, this group will evaluate the quality of virtual learning object. Data were analyzed through descriptive and inferential statistics, providing the result between means of the intervention and control groups. The present project will be constituted in ethics committee in research of the responsible institution. The ethic premises will be respect, in all stages of the research, proposed by resolution 466/12 on research with human beings. Therefore, it is hoped to contribute to the reasoning development of future nurse, based on an educational technology that favors active and meaningful learning for the student.
