RESUMO:

The Health at School Program (HSP), created in 2007, aims to promote integral attention to students in the basic education network of public schools, through actions for the detection of and prevention of diseases, promotion and health care for kindergartens, pre-schools, primary and secondary education, as well as youth and adult education. In addition to this integration, it aims to train educators and health professionals to act in its execution. Aspects such as the relationship between professionals from the Family Health Strategy (FHS) and teachers and the availability of time, as well as the fulfillment of punctual actions have been some difficulties reported in the implementation of this program. One of the ways to reduce these problems is to offer improvements to health programs through evaluation, with the purpose of judging value, generating valid information that contributes to decision making. Therefore, the objective of this research is to evaluate the implementation of HSP from the perspective of FHS professionals. This is an evaluative research, with a quantitative approach, focusing on the implementation of this program in the Municipality of Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. The structure and process dimensions will be analyzed. Data collection will be carried out with 144 professionals in 24 Family Health Units, six per team, one representative of each professional category, namely, physician, nurse, nursing technician or assistant, Community Health Agent, dentist and oral health assistant or technician, who will be selected by lottery. The instrument used in this stage will be a questionnaire prepared by the researchers and divided into three parts: professional characterization, structure dimension and process dimension. The data will be organized in spreadsheets and subjected to descriptive analysis through the statistical program Statistical Package for the Social Sciences in absolute numbers, relative, mean, standard deviation and confidence interval. Respecting the ethical principles that govern researches involving human beings in Brazil, this project was submitted to the Research Ethics Committee of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte for its appreciation and authorization for execution.
