RESUMO:

Work is a place of fulfillment, identity, valorization and recognition, where pleasure is reflected in a constant search for all workers to keep their mental balance, involving different subjects in interaction with certain reality, suffering positive or negative influences of their work environment. In the health area, the work involves a collective practice aimed at promoting the health of people, their families, and community. This work is conditioned by the relationships of professionals in the health services and society. Therefore, it has technical and interpersonal actions, and it must be understood in its objectivity and subjectivity. The reduction of performance at work and occupational overload have a direct relationship with the professional workload. The workload is defined as one of the work process elements that interact with each other and with the worker´s body, triggering changes in biopsychic processes manifested as a physical and mental burden. Thus, the question is: What are the factors contributing to the increased burden on the work of the nursing professionals? To answer this question, it was aimed to investigate the factors that contribute to the increased workload of the nursing team inserted in Psychosocial Care Centers of III - CAPS III. This is a methodological study, with mixed methods that will be developed in CAPS III of the cities of João Pessoa, Campina Grande and Piancó in the state of Paraíba. Data collection instruments were two questionnaires validated by the Research Laboratory of Mental Health called IMPACT-BR and the SATIS-BR. For the research feasibility, this project obtained a license by the Ethics Committee of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte - UFRN according to CAAE: 55185016.7.0000.5537, opinion 1,533,093, since all guidelines and regulatory requirements of Resolution 466/2012 of the National Council of Health that regulates research with human beings were followed. The quantitative data collected descriptively and by validated parameters will be analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 20.0. The qualitative data will be using the aid of Analyse lexicale par Contexte d'un Ensemble of Segments of Texte (Alceste) for Content Analysis of Bardin. It is expected that the results found in this research contribute directly to scientific production for the nursing area and the Worker´s Health because it causes a reflection on the effects that work can trigger to the health of professionals and consistent quality of care provided.
