RESUMO:

The oral Lichen Planus (LPO) is a relatively common chronic inflammatory autoimmune disease whose etiology and pathogenesis are not yet fully known. The involvement of the TCD4 + lymphocytes is already well established in the literature, because your participation crucial in the development of this lesion, in which the involvement of the epithelial basal layer keratinocytes, with formation of an inflammatory infiltrate discussion, in addition to also understand the process of angiogenesis in the LPO. Knowing this, the present study sought to observe and compare the expression of two proteins involved in inflammatory processes, the nuclear factor Kappa (NF-κB) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF165). The simultaneous use of these markers can collaborate with other studies and thus contribute to possible elucidation of the pathogenesis of this pathology and thus assist in the development of treatments with maximum effectiveness and minor damage possible to patients.
