RESUMO:

The oral cancer is one of the most common malignancies in the world population and is considered by many countries as serious public health problem due to their high mortality rates. As the process of development of malignancies refers to Damage to promote an imbalance in the regulation of cell division and death, over the past years, many studies have been conducted with the aim of check the influence of such damage to the overall behavior of cells and disease progression. In this context, recent research has shown REGγ that changes in expression may play an important role in tumor progression of several malignancies by interfering in the regulation of apoptosis. Taking into account that oral cancers affecting the lingual region recorded the highest frequency metastases, as well as the scarcity of studies evaluating REGγ expression in malignant lesions that occur in this anatomical site, are valid studies to investigate the immunohistochemical expression of this regulator in tongue squamous cell carcinomas. Thus, the objective this work is to investigate the immunohistochemical expression of REGγ markers, p53, MDM-2, Bcl-2 and Bax in tongue squamous cell carcinomas metastatic and non-metastatic, in order to promote a comparative analysis of immunoreactivity of these proteins as well as the relation of markers studied with clinicopathological parameters of the injury. The information will be collected from the evaluation of data 60 clinical patients suffering from tongue squamous cell carcinomas, and 30 of them must have developed metastatic tumors and 30 non-metastatic, followed by histopathological and immunohistochemical examination of the above markers, material samples Paraffin biological injury
