SUMMARY:

Health products used in video surgeries are costly to health services, as they are a more recent and less invasive modality of diagnostic and therapeutic surgeries. These supplies are reusable, as long as they are processed between one use and another by a Material and Sterilization Center or an outsourced healthcare processing company. However, despite the majority of these inputs having instruction manuals, provided by the manufacturers, on appropriate processing, the information contained is often insufficient, inconclusive or unclear, or even conflicts with basic rules for the safe processing of health products. In this sense, the present study is justified by the lack of technological products, such as accurate protocols, which have well-defined and appropriate methodologies, regarding the processing of different types of health products used in health care. Thus, the objective is to build a protocol for processing health products for gynecological video surgeries for a Material and Sterilization Center of a maternity hospital at a federal university. This is a methodological research, with a qualitative approach, organized in two stages, the first being an integrative review, followed by the construction of the protocol based on the theory of Knowledge Translation, through the Knowledge to Action Cycle model, with an emphasis on in the three phases of knowledge creation, namely research, synthesis and development of knowledge tools and products. Regarding the structuring, appearance and validation of the protocol, it will follow the flow of validation recommendations adopted by the managing company of the institution where the protocol will be implemented.
