SUMMARY:
Cervical cancer or cervical cancer is an important topic on the agenda of health technicians and managers, and among the causes necessary for its development is infection by the human papillomavirus – humanpapilloma virus (HPV). It is considered to be the fourth most frequent cancer in women worldwide, but it should be noted that, currently, cervical cancer is considered to be eligible for eradication through vaccination against the most prevalent oncogenic HPV types and screening and treatment of precursor lesions. This is a cross-sectional study with a quantitative and qualitative approach, which aims to implement an evaluation and monitoring process in the Network of Type I Laboratories that perform cervical cancer screening in RN. The study will be developed at the Laboratory of Pathological Anatomy and Cytopathology of RN, part of the service network of the State Department of Health of the State of Rio Grande do Norte and the data of the results issued by the 28 Type I Laboratories will be obtained from the Health Information Systems of the MS, DATASUS/SISCAN, in the National Registry of Health Establishments (CNES) and will be organized and systematized in an excell spreadsheet for analysis, and the results of the MEQ issued by LAPAT will be collected from the TargetWeb system (management software). Expected Results: it is expected to implement a Good Practices Guide in LAPAT that subsidizes the improvement of the quality of the flows of vaginal cervical cytology tests (analyzer flowchart) in the type I laboratories of the network of laboratories contracted by the RN Department of Public Health, while enabling the involvement and commitment of the professionals of this network in the process of evaluation and monitoring of these flows, contributing to the early detection of cervical cancer in the state.
