SUMMARY:

Hypertensive disorders during pregnancy have remained, for decades, the main cause of maternal mortality in Brazil and the world. Arterial hypertension or Hypertensive Syndromes in Pregnancy (HGS) is the disease that most frequently compromises the pregnancy period, being one of the main causes of maternal death in the world, affecting approximately 10% of pregnancies, maintaining this condition can lead to damage cerebral, cardiovascular with potential deterioration of organs, which must be addressed with vigilance, with diagnosis and management in a timely manner. From this perspective, Permanent Health Education (EPS) is an effective political and pedagogical strategy that promotes the education and improvement of professionals. The use of Active Methodologies (AM) prioritizes self-learning through curiosity and the act of reflecting on reality. Among the applicable AM, realistic simulation has been a strategy widely explored in the training and improvement of health professionals as it allows the experience of critical situations of daily reality in controlled environments. This study aims to construct a realistic simulated scenario in gestational hypertensive urgency using the escape room modality, aiming to develop skills and competencies necessary for safe care. This is a methodological study, with a qualitative approach, developed through a Convergent Care Research (PCA), in three sequential and interdependent stages, namely: conducting a semi-structured interview, carrying out convergence groups and preparing the products. The data generated by the study will be transcribed, coded, categorized, and analyzed through the processes: apprehension, synthesis, theorization and transfer. This study will follow all ethical and legal guidelines for research on human beings, obtaining approval from the Research Ethics Committee/UFRN. It is anticipated that the educational technological tool resulting from this work will allow health professionals to develop the skills and competencies necessary to manage gestational hypertensive emergencies, thus allowing assistance based on the principles of patient safety.
