SUMMARY:

In May 2023, the platform of the Virtual Learning Environment of the Unified Health System (AVASUS) surpassed the mark of 1,000,000 subscribers to its more than 401 courses and 11 training paths. The AVASUS platform meets the demand for health education, mass training and lifelong learning in response to the needs of the Brazilian health system, providing access to integrated, accessible and quality health knowledge. Considering Brazil's continental dimensions and the platform's reach throughout the country, it is essential to assess the impact of this massive technology-mediated training on the country's health services. This study aims to present the development of a method for evaluating the impact of technology-mediated training from the perspective of epidemiology and professional practices in Brazilian health services. The study also considers the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the fulfillment of the 2030 Agenda in Brazil. The methodology considered primary data, secondary data, epidemiological data and the SDGs. The primary data came from a questionnaire; secondary data from AVASUS itself, from the National Register of Health Establishments (CNES) and the Brazilian Classification of Occupations (CBO); epidemiological data from the Notifiable Diseases Information System (SINAN) and the SDGs from the 2030 Agenda proposed by the United Nations. The model under development has proved effective in assessing the impact of massive technology-mediated training on the country's health services.
