SUMMARY:

The equipments that assists in the collection and monitoring of biopotentials have been of
great importance for the diagnosis of pathologies and human health care, but the follow-up and return
to the hospital after diagnosis is a current challenge for patients, especially in cities far away from
large urban centers, whether for logistical or financial reasons. Although common and familiar to all,
the impact of this problem on the single health system (SUS) is still uncertain. In addition, patients
from small cities or distant from capitals face common problems with medical care and low rates of
fixation of doctors and nurses. The application of new technologies in the acquisition and monitoring
of bioelectrical signals can contribute considerably to the improvement of the physiological
monitoring processes, both in the monitoring of vital signs and in the analysis of the behavior of the
brain and the muscles, which are recurrent signals for the detection and monitoring of several
pathologies Due to these factors, the development of a low-cost equipment that can be easily
integrated into the SUS network, which purchases bioelectrical signals, and even if they can be
viewed at a long distance, would facilitate the lives of these residents, as well as of health
professionals. The objective of the present work is to develop a low-cost equipment, that can collect
electromyography (EMG), electrocardiography (ECG) and electroencephalography (EEG) signals
from patients and can connect to mobile devices and computers, through a communication protocol
via WIFI / internet. Because it is inexpensive, easy to transport and access, the equipment will allow
patients to use it within health centers, or even outside the clinic environment without requiring them,
or health professionals, to move from one location to another, increasing patient follow-up and
reducing costs for the health service. The work consists in the construction of an electronic circuit
with patient safety system, acquisition and sending of biopotential signals and monitoring system via
web. A concept test will be carried out to acquire and send the signals with 20 healthy volunteers. It is
hoped that the project will bring more facility and speed in the monitoring of the biopotential signals,
remote visualization by the doctors and specialists, thus minimizing the main problems addressed in
this work.
