RESUMO:

With the increasing popularization of electric and hybrid cars and rising fossil fuel prices, the need for new inverter topologies and control techniques has increased to meet the torque and speed requirements of an induction machine. In order to increase the efficiency and the useful life of the inverters, it is common to use soft-switching techniques such as ZVS and ZCS. With this, it is possible to reduce the stress on the switches during their switching, increasing their lifetime. In order to control the voltage in the machine, the space vector pulse width control, SVPWM is used, which presents as advantages a lower harmonic distortion rate, higher linear modulation range, less switching losses, easy computacional implementation and less response speed.

This qualification aims to design, analyze and construct a three phase inverter with smooth switching, controlled by vector space modulation SVPWM to power an induction motor of an electric vehicle. This inverter is controlled using a DSP-TMS320F28335.
