RESUMO:

Nowadays, air pollution is one of the problems faced by urban centers, and has an impact on the quality of life of the population. Vehicles are a major source of pollution, where carbon dioxide (CO2) is one of the results of the combustion reaction, whose excess concentration causes air pollution, acid rain, and the greenhouse effect, responsible for the elevation Of Earth's temperature along with the melting of ice caps and rising ocean levels, resulting in a major environmental degradation of ecosystems and landscapes. In recent years there has been an increase in the number of vehicles in cities and this aggravates the problem related to CO2 emissions. This work aims to show the development of a crowdsoursing platform to monitor urban vehicular pollution, in particular CO2 emissions, where the population helps in obtaining data using their smartphones. The platform has the ability to identify areas with the highest emissions rate and provide data for analysis.
