RESUMO:

Modern wireless communications systems mostly require antennas that can operate at multiple frequencies. Some fractal geometries, if applied to microstrip patch antenna can promote such behavior. The use of flexible materials for the development of planar circuits is one of the characteristics most desired and studied in recent years, since this property of malleability of the substrate provides applications previously impossible, due to the rigidity of the substrates normally used, which made difficult the adequacy circuits on uneven surfaces. The search for lighter and more flexible devices has made a new line of research in the field of telecommunications arise that is the study and development of textile substrates that can be applied in planar circuits. Projects involving fractal geometries in printed antennas combined with the appropriate impedance adaptations in the feed system are capable of enabling the operation in large bandwidths with compact sizes structures of low cost and fast manufacturing. This work proposes the development of planar circuits with prefractal geometry, using flexible materials (different types of fabric) as a dielectric substrate. By means of an electromagnetic characterization method, the electrical permittivity and the tangent of losses of new fabrics will be determined and compared with results already available in the literature. The circuits with prefractal geometry will be analyzed using the available software, and for the purpose of validation will be constructed and measured prototypes of microfite antennas, frequency selective surfaces - FSS and planar filters, in order to verify a concordance between the simulated results and measured.
