RESUMO:

This work aims to apply a similarity measure known as correntropy function for
complex variables in angle of arrival. Currently, statistical signal processing
techniques are used in several applications such as beamforming, acoustics and
communication systems. According to the complex signals intrinsic characteristic
used in these applications, it is necessary a detailed analysis of the complex
random signals. The correntropy is a function defined for real numbers, in order to
use this method for the applications mentioned, this work proposes the development
of multidimensional correntropy as a solution to the use of this measure in complex
signals.
