Control strategy with dead time compensation applied to high order systems
PID Controllers. Dead Time Compensation. Predictor Smith. System Identification.
This work is to approach the difficulties involved in controlling higher order systems with transport delay, where the solution adopted to mitigate the effect caused by the delay is the use of a prediction algorithm, composed of the Smith Predictor techniques and Predictor Smith filtered. Analyzing the cases in which the system model used in the prediction algorithm is not perfectly identical to the real, it was possible to confirm the presence of error in system dynamics, where such error can amplify the effort to control and premature wear of the equipment involved, in some cases leading to destabilize the system. In view of this, it was proposed to develop a system capable of handling the uncertainties arising from the difference between the model and the real system, considerably reduce the effect of transport delay of the control system. a tool that works perfectly adjusting the process model and thus improving the dead time compensation as a result was generated.
