PÁGINAS: 37
GRANDE ÁREA: Ciências da Saúde
ÁREA: Educação Física
RESUMO:
Motivated to address gender issues in sports, which have long been one of the problems of school physical education, and starting from our daily practice as a teacher of physical education and football at school, we will seek to unveil attitudes of prejudice and discrimination. Suffered by girls who play soccer within an educational context. The general objective of this research was to reveal and discuss aspects of gender and prejudice in the inclusion of soccer for girls from a public school, based on the narratives of students participating in a school futsal team; in the teacher's observations in team games and training as well as in the influence of the teacher's professional qualification, his investigative look and the confrontation of gender issues in school sports. Our methodological option includes the combination of two types of research: the participant, involving the students of the present study, and the teaching narrative, considering the formative trajectory of the teacher-researcher. The two methodological options, within a qualitative paradigm, require subjective data of their own meanings and meanings, a practical doing, their narratives and their looks. Our sample will consist of 9 (nine) students who meet the inclusion criteria as participants in this study. The data will be collected through thematic interview and participant observation, during 2019. We will interweave the students' narratives with the teacher's training path, in an attempt to understand the construction of their knowledge, from their teaching experiences in school, transcribed in his narrative. Our interest in studying and understanding the stories of girls playing soccer at school corroborates with the aim of making female voices and protagonism audible, often silenced in sports and educational contexts. Research involving women in sports, more specifically in school sports, can contribute to social change and enable other Physical Education professionals to venture into the field of gender and sports studies and to raise awareness of making women practice sports, predominantly male, more democratic and far from segregating positions.
