RESUMO:

Whether for personal reasons such as preferences and skills or for initial training issues, nowadays what we see and read about the reality of Physical Education still is a massive use, sometimes almost exclusive, of sports, in formats of small or great games, or even a traditional competitive model. Based in my experiences developing dancing content, initially encountered with the resistance of the students to content they never had throughout elementary school, and therefore claimed to lack rhythm, coordination, which they considered necessary skills to attend in class; which always led me to ask if it really was important skills also for sports, matches, combats, and others expression of the movement culture body. This project intend to develop a methodological propose of working with dance content and present the potentialities and weaknesses of dances and rhythmic activities for the integral formation of students, and will be used with high school classes in a regular primary school in the state of Ceará, aiming to identify methodological and pedagogical possibilities in the use of dance and rhythmic activities in the classes of Physical Education in the High School and build collectively with students a working propose of the dance thematic unit. The research will be held during Physical Education classes at a school in the state school system of Ceará, located in Fortaleza, with four classes of the 2nd year of high school, whose classes take place in the afternoon, the shift which students are enrolled. Tools will be: a) action plan: consisting of the planning of 10 meetings for the construction and realization of the proposal; b) participant observation of Physical Education classes, through the use of the field diary; c) survey (appendix A) about students experience with dance, inside and outside the school environment; d) students field diary (appendix B) to be completed after each action of this research; e) survey (appendix C) about students experiences with dance in the developed action. This qualitative study will be based on action research. The research was submitted and approved by the Ethics Committee of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte and registered in Plataforma Brasil, whose opinion is No. 3,479,896, dated August 1, 2019. It is in accordance with the Human Research Resolution CNS 466/12, considering the respect for human dignity and the special protection due to participants in scientific research involving human beings.
