Violence against Women. Primary Health Care. Professional Training. Continuing Health Education.
INTRODUCTION: This study addresses violence against women as a public health issue, focusing on the role of Primary Health Care professionals and the challenges that hinder the provision of comprehensive care to women experiencing violence in healthcare settings. OBJECTIVE: To analyze the impact of a continuing education workshop on Primary Health Care professionals regarding violence against women. METHODOLOGY: This is an exploratory and descriptive methodological study, aiming to develop a continuing education workshop for healthcare professionals on violence against women in Primary Health Care in the municipality of Assu/RN. Additionally, the workshop's effects will be evaluated using an instrument based on the document "Guidelines for monitoring and evaluating actions of the continuing education policy" published by the Ministry of Health in 2022, to measure the satisfaction level and performance of Primary Health Care professionals regarding the Update Workshop. Regarding the analysis of the collected data for the indicators: Satisfaction and Performance of participants regarding the update workshop, it will follow the model outlined in the "Guidelines for monitoring and evaluating actions of the continuing education policy". Thus, the individual and overall averages will be calculated for each dimension, with reference values (4 and 5), which can conclude whether both participant satisfaction and performance were satisfactory. Furthermore, to complement the data analysis, they will be organized in spreadsheets using the Microsoft Office Excel 2013 computational tool and statistically analyzed using the Jamovi version 2.5 program. EXPECTED RESULTS: It is expected that these actions will contribute to improving the care provided to users, strengthening the existing support network, and actively promoting women's health and well-being.
