SUMMARY:

ICTs—particularly AI—demonstrate significant innovative potential as tools for teaching inorganic chemistry; however, their implementation is hindered by a lack of specific teacher training, particularly regarding the critical and ethical use of these tools. This study proposes the creation of an e-book as a continuing education resource for K-12 teachers, focusing on the teaching of inorganic chemical functions. Adopting an exploratory and descriptive approach, the research will employ questionnaires and content analysis to investigate teachers' needs and perceptions. The e-book will compile digital tools and pedagogical guidelines for chemistry education, aiming to empower teachers to use ICTs and AI consciously and innovatively—both inside and outside the classroom—thereby helping to bridge training gaps and foster innovative educational practices aligned with the digital reality.
