SUMMARY:

Technological advancements have significantly improved educational settings by revolutionizing teaching and learning through the integration of digital technologies. These tools enable educators to explore alternative methodologies aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of instruction, particularly in teaching the concepts of the periodic table. This study aims to integrate educational robotics into chemistry education, specifically focusing on teaching periodic properties, to create interactive and meaningful learning experiences for high school students. The methodology employed action research, which facilitated a continuous cycle of action and reflection to adjust teaching practices according to student needs. The theoretical foundation drew upon Vygotsky's and Ausubel's theories, emphasizing the importance of mediation and meaningful learning. The intervention was implemented in a first-year high school class consisting of 17 students from the State Elementary and High School João XXIII in Cabedelo, PB. Students engaged with concepts related to the periodic table and received instruction on programming Arduino to incorporate self-generated questions about periodicity into an interactive periodic table. The significance of this approach lies in its ability to engage students through practical, contextualized learning experiences aligned with digital culture. It is expected that this engagement will increase motivation and facilitate understanding of chemical concepts related to the periodic properties of elements. This study aims to contribute to the advancement of innovative teaching practices, supported by data demonstrating the effectiveness of the intelligent periodic table as a valuable tool in chemistry education.
