SUMMARY:

This work presents the description of an ongoing research focused on the History of Mathematics and Digital Technologies for mathematics teaching. The study stems from the following research question: In what way can the critical analysis of academic production (theses, dissertations, and scientific articles) that present teaching proposals using the History of Mathematics with Digital Technologies contribute to the identification and systematization of constituent elements of a theoretical- methodological matrix aimed at the use of the Digital History of Mathematics in education? Research Objective The general objective of this research is to construct a theoretical-methodological matrix that specifies the fundamental principles and methods for using the Digital History of Mathematics (DHM) in the mathematics classroom. This construction is based on the critical analysis of academic works that articulate the History of Mathematics and Digital Technologies. To achieve this, the following
specific objectives are necessary: (a) Differentiate and conceptualize the Digital History of Mathematics (DHM), establishing principles that distinguish it from the mere use of the History of Mathematics with Digital Technologies. (b) Critically analyze academic production (theses, dissertations, and scientific articles) that present teaching proposals articulating the History of Mathematics and Digital Technologies, in order to identify
the theoretical and methodological elements employed. (c) Systematize the constituent elements (principles and methods) identified through the critical analysis, which can underpin and guide the development of teaching materials and pedagogical practice from the perspective of the Digital History of Mathematics (DHM). (d) Propose the theoretical-methodological matrix of the Digital History of Mathematics (DHM), specifying its structure and functionality for the conception of didactic proposals in mathematics education. Thesis and Contribution By engaging in a critical analysis of academic production (theses, dissertations, and scientific articles) that utilize the History of Mathematics with Digital Technologies in teaching proposals for mathematics curricula in basic education and for components/courses in mathematics degrees, the research seeks to support the thesis that the Digital History of Mathematics establishes specific theoretical and methodological principles for the development and classroom use of the History of Mathematics across different digital media. In this way, the study intends to contribute to a reflection on new approaches to the History of Mathematics for teaching, emphasizing that a Digital History of Mathematics discusses multiple ways of incorporating the History of Mathematics into digital spaces, thereby constituting a digital historical cyberspace of mathematics.
