HISTORICAL ANALYSIS OF THE PHOTOELECTRIC EFFECT AND THE STUDY OF NATURE OF SCIENCE ELEMENTS
Nature of Science, History and Philosophy of Science, photoelectric effect.
Even in the face of the difficulties of inserting History and Philosophy of Science (HFC) and elements of Nature of Science (NdC) for science teaching, there is currently an awareness of the need to include in science curricula notions about how construction takes place of scientific knowledge. To develop this thesis, we have chosen to analyze the photoelectric effect historically by presenting a detailed description of facts documented in books and articles. In order for us to make a more didactic analysis of this episode, we seek to bring a more detailed historical analysis, contemplating matient-scientific aspects that are better understood when analyzed by a bias that includes elements of NdC associated with HFC. Our goal is to present a historical description of the photoelectric effect and discuss the nature of Science from it. With that, we believe that the history of the development and acceptance process of scientific theories can help teachers to include discussions about the nature of science in science teaching.
