REFLECTIONS AND PERSPECTIVES OF KNOWING RELIGION NO SCHOOL EDUCATION OF GEOGRAPHY
Know religion. School geography. Analyzes and methodological strategies.
The teaching of Geography constantly seeks to promote the production of knowledge and debate about various knowledge, among them religion. However, knowing religion is not specially treated in Geography classes, as an important factor for understanding the (re) organization of geographic space. Thus, we aim to apprehend the approach of knowing religion in school teaching of Geography, proposing methodological strategies to work the relationship between space and religion. All the discussion we carry out is based on the paths of interdisciplinarity, considering the knowledge of other disciplines, such as History and Sociology. In this way, we reflect theoretically on the know religion in Geography, considering the approach of this knowledge in didactic books used by the teachers of Geography of the High School of the public schools in the city of Caicó. In addition, we plan to analyze the approach of this knowledge developed by said Geography teachers, through interviews with these professionals and observations of their classes. Finally, we propose methodological strategies to work the knowledge of religion in school education in Geography. Therefore, with the development of this research we seek to collaborate with the continuity of the studies about the Geography of Religion, bringing to the fore reflections, analyzes and methodological strategies aiming the best understanding of this knowledge in the School Geography.
