SUMMARY:

INTRODUCTION: Auriculotherapy is a therapeutic technique included in the National Policy of Integrative and Complementary Practices (PNPIC) that involves the stimulation of neuroreactive zones of the ear to promote the psychophysical regulation of the individual, using energy points that represent the entire organism as a microsystem. This practice is widely applied in the Unified Health System (SUS), especially in Primary Health Care (APS), where many professionals are trained through a partnership between the Ministry of Health and the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the quality of the auriculotherapy practice process in a UBS in a medium-sized city in the interior of São Paulo. METHODOLOGY: This is an Action Research, with a before and after evaluation study, carried out in the city of Ribeirão Preto in the state of São Paulo, at the Dr Vinicio Plastino/Jardim Marchesi Basic Family Health Unit in 2025. For the proposed evaluation, 08 quality criteria were defined, focused on the auriculotherapy technique with seeds. Sixty auriculotherapy application techniques will be evaluated in the unit through random selection before and after the application of the interventions, which will be designed and executed according to the opportunities for improvement identified in the first stage of evaluation, preserving the ethical precepts of resolution N466/12. EXPECTED RESULTS: It is expected to develop quality criteria for auriculotherapy PIC inserted in primary health care in the SUS, systematizing a safe practice. The results obtained will contribute to the implementation of safe routines in the care of auriculotherapy practice for SUS users, aiming to reduce the risk of errors during the procedure.
