SUMMARY:

The Singular Therapeutic Project - PTS is a set of articulated therapeutic conduct proposals, for an individual or collective subject, the result of collective discussion by an interdisciplinary team. It is generally dedicated to more complex situations. Basically, it is a variation of the “clinical case” discussion (BRASIL, 2010). It was observed that the process of implementing the Therapeutic Plan at the Hospital Regional do Sertão Central, which in this study we consider as analogous to the PTS, requires improvements for its full effectiveness, which is why it is believed that the quality improvement cycle will serve to improve and strengthen its implementation and increasingly consolidate the excellence of care in the hospital. The objective of this study is to improve health care through the adequate implementation of the Therapeutic Plan of the Adult Intensive Care Unit of the Hospital Regional do Sertão Central in Ceará. It involves the execution of an improvement cycle, using a quasi-experimental before-after design, without a control group and with a quantitative approach. After establishing the improvement team, progress will be made in identifying and classifying the causes of the quality problem in question. For causes classified as hypothetical, a survey will be carried out among the company's employees. As for modifiable causes, which already have quality criteria or requirements that evaluate them, structured data collection from medical records will be carried out. Once the quality problem has been studied, interventions will be proposed, approved and implemented. And, continuing the improvement cycle, the two evaluation methodologies (survey and medical record evaluation) will be applied again, to evaluate the level of compliance and validate whether or not the improvement achieved. According to planning, there will be a second reassessment, which will analyze the sustainability of the interventions to improve, that is, whether the results were sustained over time. Statistical analyzes will be used for this purpose.
