Gamified Telerehabilitation Platform with Adjustable Difficulty
Virtual rehabilitation, computer vision, serious games
This work is driven by the urgent need to democratize access to telerehabilitation through accessible, efficient, and low-cost technologies. Literature shows that most health-oriented exergames rely on proprietary sensors or wearable electronic devices, which severely limits the accessibility and clinical adaptability of these solutions for home environments. It proposes the development of an innovative platform that combines edge AI, web rendering, and a customizable gamification engine. The core motivation is to provide a system that not only enables real-time tracking using low-cost hardware but also offers scalable mechanisms for therapists to monitor activity remotely.
