Integrated service management solution with orchestration
Infrastructure As Code; Service Automation; Service Management; Network Infrastructure.
The management of services offered in a computer network demands a manual effort to maintain the infrastructure. Typically, network administrators need to access multiple servers, install multiple software, and configure numerous files. This manual approach often results in errors and impacts the availability of services, as well as increasing the response time for change requests. The approach of infrastructure as code emerges as a solution to minimize the errors associated with traditional service management, but it requires network administrators to acquire programming skills, which are generally not part of their curriculum.
In this context, this work presents the development of an integrated platform that uses infrastructure as code to automate service management. This platform allows network administrators to use a graphical interface to access servers and perform settings that were previously done manually. As a result, it is possible to reduce errors caused by configuration deviations, speed up the delivery of changes and promote greater consistency in the services offered.
