A Cloud-based Architecture for Management of Accounting documents
Accounting Software. Cloud computing. Cloud storage. Backup. Synchronization. Electronic Document Management. Customer Relationship Management.
Currently the information is the largest asset of an organization. Each day software stores and generates more information in their databases. In an accounting office this scene is even more relevant, given that the information stored in their databases is of companies which the office provides accounting services. All information traffic between the accounting office and their clients occurs via printed reports and e-mails. Consequently, there is a high possibility that these data and reports are lost, causing a big rework of emission and sending again. The storage and maintenance of fiscal documents is a municipal, state and federal requirement. The companies that does not come up with these required documents during an inspection, risks being fined. It is necessary a platform where these documents are available to the users to consult and distribute. Another type of problem relates to the current backup solutions employed by such offices, as they are not enough to secure these data because they keep their backups within local infrastructure, being succesptible to hardware failure, hackers and natural disasters. The advance of cloud computing made possible its use for backup and files synchronization, making it critical to minimize problems in document management and backup. This research seeks to define and develop architecture for document management and backups that will integrate with Ecos Sistemas software extending cloud functionality to desktop systems.
