RESUMO:

Recent studies investigate a new class of inorganic materials that emerge as a promising option in high-performance applications in the field of photoluminescence and photocatalysis. The development of materials has opened new perspectives for the production of devices with highly efficient photoluminescent and photocatalytic properties, which have been particularly relevant in the fight against pollution of effluents resulting from industrial activity. Among the promising materials of technological interest are the semiconductors ZnO and CuO, which show good performance in optical and photocatalytic properties. In this work, polymeric resins of zinc oxide and copper oxide were synthesized by the polymeric precursor method, deposited in multilayers by the spin coating technique on silicon substrate. The resins, which had their viscosities adjusted to 20 cPs, were deposited in 6 ZnO / CuO alternating layers; CuO/ZnO; CuO/CuO and ZnO/ZnO and heat treated at 400 ° C and 500 ° C. The samples of the materials, both in the form of thin films and in powder form, were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Rietveld refinement, atomic force microscopy (AFM), infrared absorption spectroscopy (FTIR) UV-vis optical absorption spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (MET), photoluminescence (PL) and photocatalytic tests on the degradation of methylene blue dye. The results of the X-ray analysis of the samples in powder form confirm the presence of ZnO (hexagonal) and CuO (monoclinic) phases without secondary phases for both samples
