SUMMARY:

The anti-asylum movement brought new ways of working with those outside the psychological structure of social norms to the study of psychology. The city becomes a space for social reintegration and a setting for autonomy for these users, bringing with it new ways of acting in care. For this population, this experience in the city is marked by the denial of rights and access, giving rise to another way of relating to space. In view of the effectiveness of psychology in care in freedom, this research has the general objective of investigating the relationship of territoriality in the experiences of people who use the Psychosocial Care Network (RAPS) in the city of Natal/RN. Its specific objectives are: a) To analyze how these dynamics of territoriality develop considering the context of the city of Natal; b) To map the care itineraries of these users considering their implications for the dynamics of territoriality and for the exercise of the right to the city; c) To analyze, based on notions such as attachment to place and place identity, the symbolic and affective dimensions in these experiences. This is a qualitative study, using walking interviews and biographical interviews as methods. The target audience is people who use/have used the Psychosocial Care Network (RAPS) in the municipality of Natal, with 2 participants so far. The interviews are being transcribed, and the analysis of the corpus is based on Reflective Thematic Analysis (RTA). As preliminary results, we can identify for one of the interviewees a territory in the city where diverse experiences intertwine, conferring identity and meaning to the space. Similarly, for another interviewee, the attribution of a RAPS service has a meaning that goes beyond its assistance function, perceiving it as a space where they feel welcomed, recognized, and accepted, a place where the social bonds established with professionals and other users play a central role in the construction of the sense of place.
