This thesis aims to co-create an intervention to increase physical activity and reduce sedentary time in children receiving care at a secondary healthcare service, grounded in a theoretical approach to behavior change. The work will consist of six articles: (1) a protocol article, with a detailed description of the research plan; (2) a scoping review of the literature on behavior change interventions in this population; (3) a systematic review with meta-analysis related to the proposed theme; (4) the co-creation of the intervention together with young participants, their guardians, and health professionals; (5) an evaluation of the feasibility of the co-creation process for developing interventions aimed at pediatric obesity; and (6) an analysis of the feasibility of the co-created intervention in a secondary healthcare service. Following its development, the intervention has the potential to be expanded and reach a larger number of young people with obesity who currently do not have regular access to specialized care focused on promoting healthy movement behaviors. Furthermore, the study may contribute to the understanding of more effective strategies for providing multidisciplinary support to this population. As an expected outcome, it is hypothesized that the co-creation of an intervention to promote physical activity and reduce sedentary behavior will result in greater feasibility and acceptance by those involved in the process.
