SUMMARY:

This project consists of a study that will conduct a search for materials in national and international literature on the nursing workforce in Central Sterile Supply Departments (CSSD). Objective: is to map and synthesize the available evidence in the literature regarding the nursing workforce in Central Sterile Supply Departments. This is a scoping review project, conducted according to the methodology proposed by the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI), strictly following the nine recommended steps and guided by the PRISMA-ScR checklist. The research protocol was developed and registered on the Open Science Framework (OSF) platform. The search will be carried out in national and international databases, using predefined eligibility criteria. Extracted data will be organized and analyzed descriptively, aiming to identify knowledge gaps and guide future research.
