SUMMARY:

Government initiatives reflect global concern about the AIDS epidemic, with the United
Nations and the Brazilian government already setting goals to combat the disease in the
coming years. This planning is particularly critical when considering adolescents, a
vulnerable population due to physiological, emotional, and behavioral changes. Data
from 2022 indicate that young people between 15 and 29 years old account for 41% of
the 43,403 new HIV cases. Therefore, it is essential for professionals to remain
continuously updated on care and treatments defined by major global health references to
provide quality care. In this context, the guiding question of the present study is: What
should be the content of a nursing care course in primary care for adolescents living with
HIV? The general objective is to validate a course for training primary care nurses on
nursing care for adolescents living with HIV. This is a methodological study with a mixed
approach, based on the principles of Instructional Design, which refers to methods used
for the teaching-learning process, from planning and development to selecting materials
and techniques for implementing actions. A Scoping Review and a focus group will also
be conducted to define the content that will underpin the course's development. Once
developed, the course will undergo a stage where content and appearance will be
validated using the Delphi technique via an electronic form on Google Forms, with
experts in the field. Data analysis will include calculating the Content Validation
Coefficient, considering valid items with an agreement of 80% or higher. This research
will follow the ethical principles outlined in Resolution No. 466/2012 of the National
Health Council, with approval from the Ethics Committee of the Federal University of
Rio Grande do Norte.
