the health promotion diagnoses, specifically in people with chronic diseases. A
previous study comprehensively reviewed the concepts involved in the
phenomenon in question, with evidence of new diagnostic elements identified in
scientific literature. Thus, content analysis by experts and clinical validation
were recommended to follow the validation process of the nursing diagnosis.
Furthermore, there is an urgent need to provide the benefits of scientific

diagnosis; (2) plan development; (3) plan implementation; (4) assessment of
barriers and facilitators; (5) monitoring; and (6) plan review. It is important to
note that the phases will be conducted concomitantly with the validation of the
nursing diagnosis Ineffective Health Self-Management according to the model
proposed by Lopes, Silva and Araujo (2022). To achieve the objectives
proposed in this study, the stages of content analysis by experts and clinical
validation of the nursing diagnosis will be carried out. The project will be
submitted to the Research Ethics Committee of the Federal University of Rio
Grande do Norte, in accordance with the recommendations of Resolution No.
466/12 of the National Health Council. Upon approval of the research, the
bioethical principles of beneficence, nonmaleficence, justice, and autonomy will
be respected. Expected results: The results of this study are expected to
contribute to the advancement of nursing science by providing support that can
