PAGES: 95
BIG AREA: Ciências da Saúde
AREA: Enfermagem
SUMMARY:

Tuberculosis remains considered to be a serious public health problem worldwide even in the face of technological advances in relation to its diagnosis and treatment. This fact becomes even more serious, as it is found that this disease has a strong interaction with the infection caused by the Human Immunodeficiency Virus, constituting a great challenge for all countries, due to the serious effects resulting from this infectious association. The magnitude and complexity of this association is evidenced by the fact that people living with the Human Immunodeficiency Virus are more likely to acquire Tuberculosis, compared to the general population. Given this context, the study will aim to identify aspects related to the outcomes of this disease in people living with HIV/AIDS in the city of Natal-RN. This is a cross-sectional study, with a quantitative approach, of the type of health assessment (normative assessment). The locations chosen for the study will be the outpatient clinic of Hospital Giselda Trigueiro, the State Secretariat of Public Health of Rio Grande do Norte (SESAP/RN), both located in the city of Natal/RN; as well as through the health information systems, which are: Information System for Notifiable Diseases (SINAN), Logistic Control System for Medicines (SICLON), Control System for Laboratory Examinations (SISCEL). The sources of information for the study will include: notification forms and medical records. The project will be submitted to the Research Ethics Committee of the UFRN Central Campus and will obey the ethical foundations of Resolution No. 466/2012 of the National Health Council, which regulates research involving human beings nationwide. It is hoped that the results achieved can contribute to the planning, management and evaluation of public policies and actions related to the health of people who have co-infection Tuberculosis - Human Immunodeficiency Virus.
