SUMMARY:

This research investigates walking through natural landscapes as an aesthetic, sensory, and ethico-political practice, based on a journey of approximately 540 km on foot along the seashore between Fortaleza, Ceará, and Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. Conceived as a form of resistance to the acceleration of contemporary time, the journey adopts the paradigms of research-creation and subjective cartography, employing the vibratile body and corporeal literacy as methodological operators The process generates sensory records through field journals, photography, the haptic collection of natural fragments, and the intended creation of artist´s books. The research articulates the ecological dimension of the environmental humanities with a decolonial perspective, approaching sand from a threefold standpoint: as an ancestral force, a physical obstacle, and a territory rendered vulnerable by capital. Form the perspective of spiral time, walking re-signifies memories of family migration as a poetics of return and an alliance with local cosmologies. Thus, this study proposes walking as a micropolitical insurrection, a decolonial act of disobedience, and a practice of becoming- with the Earth in a damaged world, producing aesthetic and existential meanings through the re-inscription of the body into the living world.
