"THE RIGHT FOR THE RIGHT AND THE WRONG WILL BE CHARGED": POLITICAL NARRATIVES OF THE RN CRIME UNION
Organized crime, faction, dispute, RN crime syndicate.
This work aims to analyze the history and influence of the RN Crime Syndicate on the scenario of political and criminal dispute in Rio Grande do Norte. From ethnographic experience, I intend to construct a narrative that, within certain limits, seeks to understand the processes that construct the "ethics of crime", the cycles of revenge and the contest for power and control of prison units and the streets of state. Considering that there is insufficient literature on the work of the local faction, I intend, in principle, to outline the way in which the group is constituted and organized within the State. I prioritize the perspective of members of the collective, detainees, ex-detainees and their families. The central focus of this research is to understand how the formation of "organized crime" collectives is a consequence of a state project that operates from the drug wars, mass incarceration and the criminalization of poverty. In this context, I think how the consequences of this project end up escaping the very "control" of the State. In this way, the subjectivities that emerge with the collective prisoners, the experience in the jail, the fights between neighborhoods by territories appear and the political resistance of "criminals" against the state oppression. The theoretical basis that I have chosen to use, mostly, is of autobibliographic character and produced by people who have experienced the jail, since I have the pretension to value these voices as theoretical bases - although the references do not end only in them.
