Therapeutic Marijuana: moralities, rights, and sociopolitical mobilization.

Although marijuana is still criminalized in Brazil, international research has attested the beneficial use of some active biochemical principles from the plant for the treatment of grave uncurable illnesses, which has been efficiently managed by the therapeutical use of drugs produced from marijuana, thus reducing drastically the simptoms and sufferinf of people with those illnesses, mostly children. This research deals with the struggles and sociopolitical mobilization of Brazilian families, mostly from Paraiba federal state, who have to cope with the experience of illness among their children.
