TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION IN HEALTHCARE: A prospect of minimally invasive solutions for blood collection
Keywords: Blood collection; Minimally invasive technologies; Product engineering; Technological prospection.
This study proposes conducting a technological survey aimed at identifying, analyzing, and categorizing minimally invasive solutions for blood collection. The research will be conducted through a systematic review, integrating Product Engineering principles to evaluate performance, technological maturity, limitations, improvement opportunities, and potential applications in the development of new devices. The study aims to gather, from the specialized literature, theoretical and technological evidence on minimally invasive blood collection methods; identify their functional characteristics, advantages, and technological gaps; analyze how these solutions relate to Product Engineering parameters such as usability, industrial feasibility, reliability, ergonomics, materials, and integration with production processes; and structure an overview capable of guiding the development of future innovations in the area. The systematic review is expected to contribute to the construction of a reference conceptual model for research and projects on new, less invasive blood collection devices. Furthermore, the study seeks to strengthen the field of technology foresight applied to health, supporting the advancement of less invasive, safer, more accessible solutions that are aligned with contemporary clinical needs.
