SUMMARY:

Offshore wind energy has gained prominence in the context of the global energy transition due to its high generation potential in marine environments. However, the installation phase of offshore wind farms is characterized by high logistical complexity, strongly constrained by environmental and operational restrictions, which directly affect project costs and schedules. In this context, Digital Twin technology emerges as a potential tool to support planning and decision-making in complex systems. Although widely applied to assets, particularly during the operation and maintenance (O&M) phases, there is a gap regarding the use of Digital Twins during the installation stage, as well as their application from a process-oriented perspective. Given this context, this study aims to develop a conceptual model for the application of Digital Twins to the logistics process of offshore wind farm installation. Methodologically, the research is characterized as applied, with a qualitative, exploratory, and descriptive approach, conducted through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) and the analysis of three case studies. Based on the analysis, the main elements of each case were identified and systematized. As a result, a conceptual model was developed, structured into two layers and composed of four integrated modules - Data, Models, Simulation, and Decision Support - articulated through communication, synchronization, and control mechanisms. The proposed framework establishes a multilevel processing and simulation architecture, enabling analyses with different degrees of complexity to support real-time decision-making in installation operations.
