Health education is an essential pedagogical process for promoting individuals' autonomy and improving quality of life, contributing to the strengthening of the Unified Health System. In hospital settings, such practices aim not only at promoting health but also at guiding patients and their families, preventing complications, and humanizing care. In light of this, the objective of this study is to develop and validate educational booklet content for mothers who have their newborns admitted to a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This is a methodological study that will follow the following steps: An integrative review will be conducted with the aim of developing the content of the educational booklet, and in the subsequent stage, validation will be carried out through a thorough analysis conducted by qualified judges. It is emphasized that the study will be submitted for approval by the Research Ethics Committee of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, according to Resolution No. 466/2012 of the National Health Council. After the collection and systematization of the data, it is expected that the results will contribute to improving mothers' knowledge about the context of hospitalization and maternal care, as well as reducing stress levels, constituting an educational technology.
