The study aims to develop an educational technology in a virtual environment focused on vaccination to support the continuing education of nursing professionals working in vaccination rooms in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. Methods: The research will be conducted by integrating Design Thinking—adopted as a human-centered educational tool focused on identifying professional gaps and challenges—with Instructional Design guidelines, which will provide the pedagogical framework through the ADDIE model: Analyze (Analysis via scope review); Design (Online course planning); Develop (Development of the educational resource on the AVASUS platform); Implement (Implementation through execution and testing of the educational technology); and Evaluate (Expert validation). The project will be carried out at the Immunization Department of the State Health Secretariat of Rio Grande do Norte, in partnership with the Laboratory for Technological Innovation in Health at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (LAIS/UFRN). Expected Results: It is anticipated that the provision of this educational technology will enable real-time qualification of nursing staff in alignment with updates to the National Vaccination Calendar, thereby enhancing continuing professional education. The use of this educational tool is expected to provide broad and standardized knowledge across all vaccination rooms in Rio Grande do Norte, addressing the current shortage of updated information on immunization. Conclusion: Ultimately, the development of this educational platform has the potential to benefit not only Rio Grande do Norte but also other states across the country.
