MATRIX SUPPORT ON MENTAL HEALTH IN PRIMARY CARE: a tool for integral care?
Matrix Support, Mental Health, CAPS, Primary Care.
The conception of Matrix Support involves co-management and support strategies to operate in social networks or in complex systems, admitting an expanded conception of the health/disease process, the dialogue and the relational constitution of multiprofessional teams for problem solving. In the field of mental health, this methodology is considered strategic to guarantee the principle of integrality of health actions, since it aims to establish a better articulation between the Center for Psychosocial Care (CAPS) and Primary Health Care (PHC). However, there are aspects of this relationship developed by the CAPS III east Natal in the AB that need to be investigated, related to the integration between the primary care teams and supporters in to effectively institute in the work dynamics the requests of the Matrix Support for sharing or discussion of cases. It is understood that the construction of this relationship is a complex and procedural task that I consider to be potentially relevant for the strengthening of the mental health policy of our municipality. In this way, the need to explore the local reality is justified, being fundamental both to qualify the Support and to increase PHC’s ability to better intervene in the health problems of its territory, particularly in the field of mental health, with a view to future elaboration of strategic actions that qualify these meetings, through the establishment of technologies (approach, relationship, intervention, etc.) that favor the integral care of users and the strengthening of Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS). Thus, this study has the objective of analyzing the Matrix Support in mental health from the point of view of professionals of Primary Care of the Sanitary Districts east and south of the municipality of Natal / RN. It is a study belonging to the field of social research in health, whose design is descriptive and exploratory in nature of qualitative approach. The subjects will be the higher level professionals upper level, middle level and Community Health Agents that work in the respective basic units with the Family Health Strategy model. The option for research in the southern and eastern sanitary districts was due to the fact that it is the territory of the CAPS III Leste and place of insertion of the researcher's daily work. To collect data will be used interview with semi structured script and for analysis the technique of analysis of thematic content. To assist in the processing of textual data, the ATLAS / ti software will be used. The relevance of a study on the Matrix Support theme is an expressive theme for the effectiveness of community-based mental health care, for its potential transforming work relationships among teams, as a strategy that extends networking and which favors integral, continuous and quality care for SUS users. In addition to contributing to the analysis of the actions of the matrix support offered by the CAPS, which represents a strategic service in the Brazilian Psychiatric Reform arrangement, consolidation of SUS principles.
